What is PPP?

Each family commits to earning a required number of Parent Participation Points during the season. Families can earn those points by volunteering with the club or at swim meets.

By registering with WTSC, families agree to complete their PPP requirement or pay for any remaining points at the end of the season. Outstanding points are billed at $25 per PPP.

Who can earn PPP?

PP does not have to be earned only by a swimmer’s parent or guardian. Points may also be earned by:

• swimmers;

• siblings;

• extended family members; or

• friends or others volunteering on behalf of the family.

When reporting PPP, make sure the swimmer/family receiving the points is clearly identified.

How do families earn PPP?

There are many ways to contribute throughout the season. Common opportunities include:

• timing at home and away meets;

• officiating;

• hospitality or canteen shifts at hosted meets;

• helping with time trials and team events;

• fundraising activities;

• serving on club committees; and

• taking on Board or other club roles.

Volunteer opportunities will be shared with families throughout the season. Where an activity has a specific PPP value, that value will be identified when the opportunity is posted.

Reporting your PPP

Families are responsible for making sure their volunteer contributions are recorded.

After completing a volunteer activity, submit the PPP reporting form at the top of this page. Please submit activities throughout the season rather than waiting until June so that club records remain current.

PPP buyout

At the end of the season in June, any required PPP that have not been earned will be billed at $25 per outstanding point.

Excess PPP:

• are not redeemable for cash;

• cannot be applied toward membership or other club fees; and

• cannot be transferred to another family.
