Tritons offers three levels of programming: Novice, Intermediate, and Performance. Swimmers progress through the levels as their skills, experience, and training needs develop.
Within our Performance level, swimmers can choose from three training options — Performance Lite, Performance, and Performance Plus — providing different levels of weekly commitment while allowing swimmers to continue developing and competing.
Not sure where your swimmer fits? New swimmers can start with a free trial week, and our coaches will help determine the best placement.
Novice is an introduction to club swimming for swimmers who can swim 25 metres independently on their front and back. Swimmers develop strong fundamentals, including stroke technique, diving, turns, and the skills needed to train safely and confidently with a group.
Competition is introduced in a fun and supportive way through time trials and development opportunities.
Required gear: Competition suit, swim cap
Intermediate swimmers continue developing technique in all four competitive strokes while building endurance, starts, turns, and confidence in a training environment. This level provides a bridge between introductory club swimming and Performance-level training.
Swimmers have opportunities to participate in appropriate competitions as they develop.
Required gear: Competition suit, swim cap
The Performance level is for experienced swimmers ready for more advanced training and competition. Rather than requiring every swimmer to make the same time commitment, Tritons offers three Performance options so swimmers can select a training commitment appropriate to their goals, age, and other activities.
Our lower-commitment Performance option, allowing swimmers to continue developing and competing while balancing swimming with other sports, activities, and commitments.
Required gear: Competition suit, swim cap, fins, pull buoy, finger paddles
Snorkel is an asset but not required.
Our standard Performance program, providing increased training volume for swimmers looking to develop their technique, endurance, race skills, and competitive performance.
Required gear: Competition suit, swim cap, fins, pull buoy, finger paddles
Snorkel is an asset but not required.
Our highest-commitment Performance option, providing additional training opportunities and greater training volume for swimmers pursuing more advanced competitive goals.
Required gear: Competition suit, swim cap, fins, pull buoy, snorkel, and finger paddles (hand paddles for swimmers age 13+).
