Four Tritons Named to Atlantic All Star Team

Halifax, NS - Four swimmers with the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club have been named to the 2011 Atlantic Canadian All Star Team.

Hayden Adams, Eveline Choquette, Adam Deutsch and Rebecca MacPherson were all selected to the team of twenty-six of Atlantic Canada's top swimmers on March 9th, 2011.

"This team has been a great stepping stone for a number of the region's best swimmers in the past, and the Tritons have been a big part of that," said Tritons' head coach Chris Stone.

The team will be taking part in a 3 day camp in Halifax, lead by Swim Nova Scotia Provincial Coach Lance Cansdale, with Swimming Canada National Junior Coach Ken McKinnon and Ontario Provincial Coach Dead Bowles. Both Coaches McKinnon and Bowles have placed athletes on several Canadian Olympic Teams.

Following the 2 day camp, there will be a 2 day swim meet between the 3 teams.

"The Tritons have a long tradition of strong representation on this team, and this year is no exception. We have the second highest number of swimmers named to this year's team from any club in Atlantic Canada, and I'm sure that the four Tritons swimmers named to the Atlantic All Star Team this year will continue that tradition of swimming excellence and leadership," said Stone.

The camp and meet are scheduled to run from May 18-22, 2011 at the Dalplex in Halifax.
