Good Showing on Day 2 of Age Group Nationals for Tritons

Winnipeg, MB - The Wolfville Tritons Swim Club put in a solid showing on day 2 of the 2010 Canadian Age Group Swimming Championships in Winnipeg, MB.

After the second day of competition, the team of five swimmers has continued to post nothing but personal best performances and bettering placings, according to Tritons' head coach Chris Stone.

Leading the way was Tritons senior Luc Boudreau, with a 9th place finish in the 17-18 year old boys 400m Individual Medley, with a new Tritons' Club Record of 4:50.13. Boudreau was the silver medalist in the 50m breaststroke on the opening day of the meet for the same age group.

Hayden Adams also turned in a respectable 14th place finish in the 15 year old boys 50m Backstroke with a new personal best of 30.39.

Brendan Vibert posted a new personal best by 7 seconds in the 14 year old boys 400m Individual Medley with a time of 5:18.37, while older brother Colin swam a new personal best of his own in the 100m Freestyle with a time of 56.98.

Sarah Lynch also took off a sizable amount of time in her 100m Freestyle, swimming a 1:03.05 in the girls 16-18 years old category.

The men's 800m Freestyle Relay of Boudreau, C. Vibert. Adams and B. Vibert capped off the day with a new Tritons' Club Record for the event, posting a time of 8:35.53.

Competition resumes Friday morning at the Pan Am Pool in Winnipeg, MB and runs until Sunday.

new personal bests.

Backstroke in the 15 year old boys category with a time of

30.39 seconds. This was Adams' first national meet since

joining the Tritons in September.
