With May here and June soon on the way, the Tritons will be wrapping up for the 2012-13 season shortly. Below is a list of final practice days for each squad:

WHITE TRAINING SQUAD - Thursday, May 30, 2013
BLUE TRAINING SQUAD - Thursday, May 30, 2013
BLACK TRAINING SQUAD - Friday, June 7, 2013*
JUNIOR TRAINING SQUAD - Friday, June 7, 2013*
SENIOR TRAINING SQUAD - Friday June 7, 2013*

There will be no swim practice for all training squads on Monday, May 20, 2013 due to the Victoria Day Holiday.

All parents of swimmers intending to attend the 2013 Long Course East Coast Championships in St. John's, NL and/or the 2013 Canadian Age Group Championships in Montreal, QC are invited to attend a parent information meeting on Friday, April 26, 2013 in the Hall of Fame Room of the Acadia Athletics Complex from 5:00-5:30pm.

There not be practice for all training squads over the 2013 Easter weekend, including Good Friday, March 29 and Easter Monday, April 1.

We hope everyone has a great long weekend!

All Tritons' families are asked to please note that there will be no swimming for all training squads over the March Break.

All squads will be off from Saturday, March 9th until practices resume Monday, March 18th at their regularly scheduled times.

Acadia Pool is re-opening tomorrow, February 20, 2013. All Tritons' practices will resume as scheduled tomorrow.

Thank you all for your patience during this period, and we look forward to seeing everyone back at Acadia Pool!

Hello Everyone,

Alternative pool time has been arranged for swimmers attending East Coast Championships for the remainder of the week.

Due to limited pool space in both venues, swimmers will be broken into groups to attend practices at the different sites. Please abide by these site allocations, as space is limited in each and too many swimmers is just as ineffective as no pool at all.

There has been a very serious malfunction at the Acadia Pool, resulting in it's immediate closure. Presently, a re-opening date has not been established.

As a result, all practices for all training squads are cancelled until further notice.

The Junior, Senior & HP Training squads will be off from Saturday, December 8 through to Sunday, December 16 inclusive.

Starting on Monday, December 17, the Senior & HP squads will be swimming on a modified schedule until Saturday, January 5.

The last day of practice for the swimmers in the White, Blue & Black Training Squads will be Thursday, December 13, 2012.

Swimmers in these groups will not be swimming during the Holiday Break, as most of their coaches will be home for the Holidays.

Practices will resume on Monday, January 7, 2013 at their scheduled time.

All Tritons and their families are invited to attend the annual Wolfville Tritons Holiday Party on Thursday, December 13 from 6-8pm.

The party will be held in the Hall of Fame Room of the Acadia Athletics Complex.

There will be no swim practice on Monday, November 12 for the White, Blue & Black Training Squads.

There will still be practice for the Junior, Senior & High Performance Training Squads.

Hi Everyone,

Just a reminder of the Stroke and Turn Clinic coming up this Friday, Oct. 26th at 4pm in room 142 of the BAC.

The clinic will take a couple of hours (bring a snack with you!). I am preparing materials today so if I HAVE NOT heard from you and you are planning to come, please let me know so that I ensure I have enough copies for everyone.

Hello Swimming Parents,

Now that we are into October, the club will begin attending swim meets with some regularity.

There are 2 Team Managers for the club. Sharon MacPherson will be handling all of the meets for the swimmers attending Nova Scotia Age Group meets and above, and Danette Smith will be contacting parents about the upcoming Nova Tech (introductory) meets.

All swimmers will be off on Monday, October 8th, 2012 for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

There will be a second registration session along with a "Tritons 101" presentation for new and returning parents on Thursday, September 13 from 7:00-9:00pm in the Hall of Fame Room of the Acadia Athletics Complex.

Registration will occur from 7:00-7:30pm & 8:30-9:00pm

The date listed on the registration letters sent to membership last week contained an error.

The correct date is THURSDAY, AUGUST 30, 2012 from 5:00-7:00pm in room 132 of the Beveridge Arts Centre at Acadia University.

We hope to see everyone there!

Due to an unexpected move up of the pool closure, there has been a change to practices for Friday, June 29 and Saturday June 30.

Friday, June 29th's practice is now 6:00-7:30am for all swimmers attending Canadian Age Group Championships, and 6:30-7:30am for all swimmers focusing on East Coast Championships.

Due to the upcoming shut-down of the Acadia Athletics Complex Pool, all Tritons attending Long Course East Coast Championships, Canadian Age Group Championships and Summer Nationals will have to train on an alternate training schedule.

We will be swimming out of the pool at 14 Wing Greenwood on the following dates and times:

East Coasts & National Level Swimmers

The Acadia University Axemen & Axewomen Swim Teams will be running a competitive skills swim camp June 23 & 24, 2012 at the Acadia Athletics Complex. Any swimmer who has graduated from Nova Tech is able to attend.

Several coaches from around Nova Scotia will be working with the swimmers on skills and areas such as:

Stroke Technique
Starts & Turns
Dryland Training & Skills
Flexibility

Hello Tritons Families,

Our end of year party is June 10th at New Minas Elementary from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

As every year, the event will be a pot luck, and is opened to siblings and friends to attend.

We would ask that the White, Blue and Black Squads bring a main course or a salad to share.

The Junior Squad please bring paper plates, cups and forks and drinks.

Due to WTSC hosting the 2012 Swim Nova Scotia Junior Provincials over the May 25-27 weekend, there will be NO PRACTICE for all Tritons training Squads on Friday, May 25, 2012.

Saturday morning practice for the Junior Training Squad will also be cancelled on Saturday, May 26, 2012.

The last day of swim practice for swimmers in the White & Blue Training Squads will be on Friday, June 1, 2012.

Swimmers in the Black Training Squad who have NOT qualified for the 2012 Long Course East Coast Championships will wrap up their season on Friday, June 8, 2012.

There will be no swimming for ALL training groups on Monday, May 21, 2012 due to the Victoria Day Holiday.

Hi Everyone!

It's almost Easter and we are hopping to do another Easter egg hunt this year on Wednesday, April 4th at 4:00pm.

If we could get people to bring wrapped chocolates and or Easter egg shells to put the candy in it would be a big help!

All Tritons swimmers and families are asked to please note that there will be no swim practice for all training squads over the Easter Weekend, April 6-9, 2012.

Practices will resume for all training squads as scheduled on Tuesday, April 10, 2012.

During the March Break, March 10-18, there will be no swim practice for all training squads of the Wolfville Tritons.

Practices will resume as scheduled on Monday, March 19, 2012.

There will be a meeting open to the general membership of the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club on Tuesday, January 31 from 7-9pm in the Wolfville Room of the Acadia Athletics Complex.

Head Coach Chris Stone will be discussing a proposal to merge the Acadia Varsity & Wolfville Tritons swim programs into a more closely affiliated structure.

The practice for the Black Training Squad will be cancelled on Friday, January 13, 2012 due to the Acadia Senior Meet starting at 5pm.

The White Training Squad will still swim at its usual time slot of 4:00-4:45pm.

With the Holiday Break almost here, there will be a break for all swimmers from Saturday, December 17, 2011 until Tuesday, Dec 27, 2011.

Beginning on Tuesday, December 27, swimmers in the Junior, Senior & High Performance squads will resume training on an altered schedule.
