Wolfville, NS, - The Wolfville Tritons Swim Club are actively seeking members for the 2010-11 swim season. The Tritons are a successful swim program operating out of Acadia pool Monday through Friday beginning at 4:00pm.

Hello to all Triton swimmers and families!

It's hard to believe that September is coming up as quickly as it is, but before we know it, school will be back in and the Tritons will have started back in the water hoping for another successful season!

Victoria, BC - Three swimmers with the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club posted a number of solid performances over four days of competition in Victoria, BC at the 2010 Summer Nationals & Pan Pacific Trials.

Luc Boudreau, Nicole Campbell and Ceilidh MacPherson all attended the senior level national meet, which had over 550 competitors registered.

Victoria, BC - Three swimmers with the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club will be competing this week at the 2010 Summer Nationals & Pan Pacific Trials in Victoria, BC.

Luc Boudreau, Nicole Campbell and Ceilidh MacPherson are all competing during the four day senior competition, held at the Sannich Commonwealth Centre.

Winnipeg, MB - Luc Boudreau of the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club finished off the 2010 Canadian Age Group Swimming Championships with a 4th place finish in the 17-18 year old boys' 200m Individual Medley, narrowly missing a bronze medal on Sunday.

Winnipeg, MB - Luc Boudreau of the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club won his third medal of the 2010 Canadian Age Group Swimming Championships on Saturday evening in Winnipeg, MB.

The 18 year old New Minas native, who will be attending Acadia University in September, won a bronze medal in the 17-18 year old boys' 200m Breaststroke with a new personal best of 2:23.37.

Winnipeg, MB - The Wolfville Tritons Swim Club's Luc Boudreau won his second silver of the 2010 Canadian Age Group Swimming Championships on Friday in Winnipeg, MB.

The 18 year old from New Minas finished second in the 17-18 year old boys' 100m Breaststroke with a new personal best of 1:05.78.

Winnipeg, MB - The Wolfville Tritons Swim Club put in a solid showing on day 2 of the 2010 Canadian Age Group Swimming Championships in Winnipeg, MB.

After the second day of competition, the team of five swimmers has continued to post nothing but personal best performances and bettering placings, according to Tritons' head coach Chris Stone.

Winnipeg, MB - Luc Boudreau of the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club was the silver medalist in the Men's 17-18 year old 50m Breaststroke at the 2010 Canadian Age Group Swimming Championships in Winnipeg, MB on Wednesday.

Wolfville, NS - Fresh on the heals of their teammates' success at the 2010 Long Course East Coast Championships in Newfoundland earlier this month, seven swimmers with the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club will be competing at one of two national level swim meets over the coming two weeks.

Mark your calendar, the Tritans Closing Party will be held on Sunday, June 13th from 5 - 7pm at New Minas Elementary School. See you there!

Swimmers in the White & Blue Training Squads will have their final week of practice the week May 25-29 2010, and the Black Training Squad will wrap up the week of June 7-11 2010.

The Blue Training Squad will swim up to Thursday, May 28 2010, and the White Training Squad will wrap up on Friday, May 29 2010. The Black Training Squad will finish for the season on Friday, June 11 2010.

All Tritons swimmers and families are asked to please note that there will be no swimming on Monday, May 25 for the Victoria Day Holiday.

Wolfville, NS - Two swimmers with the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club will be traveling to Toronto, ON May 5-9, 2010 as members of the 2010 Atlantic All Star Team.

Kayla Boudreau and Rebecca MacPherson were both named to the team in March, which represents all four Atlantic Canadian provinces during a 3 day training camp and 2 day swim meet versus all stars from Ontario and Quebec.

All Tritons swimmers and families are asked to note that there will be NO AFTERNOON PRACTICE on Thursday, April 29, 2010.

The pool will be closed that day for the installation of the new starting blocks!

Due to Acadia's winter term exams, all Tritons swimmers and families are asked to note the change in evening swim practice times.

All evening practice times will run one hour later for the period of April 14-28 2010 for all training groups. Practices will run on their usual days, but at the following times:

WHITE TRAINING SQUAD - 5:00-5:45pm

BLUE TRAINING SQUAD - 5:00-6:00pm

All Triton swimmers, parents and families are asked to please note that there will be no swimming over the 2010 Easter Weekend.

Practices will be canceled from Good Friday, April 2 to Easter Monday, April 5 inclusive for all training squads.

Practices will resume on Tuesday, April 6 as per the usual schedule.

The Annual WTSC Easter Egg Hunt will be Thursday, April 1 from 4:00-6:00pm. All WTSC swimmers and younger siblings are invited to attend the afternoon of fun and games.

Parents are asked to please donate candy (jelly beans, chocolates, etc) to over the next few weeks by bringing it down to the pool deck during practice hours.

All Triton families are asked to please note that there will be no practice for all squads from Saturday, March 13 2010 to Saturday, March 20 2010 due to March Break.

Practices will resume as usual on Monday, March 22 2010.

Charlottetown, PEI - The Wolfville Tritons Swim Club finished the 2010 Short Course East Coast Championships in a strong third place position in the overall points Sunday night.

"With only 16 swimmers in the meet, I'm very happy with our final standing," said the Tritons' head coach Chris Stone.

Charlottetown, PEI - The Wolfville Tritons continue to be a force to reckon with after the third day of competition at the 2010 Short Course East Coast Championships. Following Saturday's finals session, the 16 swimmer contingent from the Tritons sit in third place, 44 points behind the St. John's Legends team of 36 swimmers.

Charlottetown, PEI - The Wolfville Tritons Swim Club put in a solid effort on the second day of the 2010 Short Course East Coast Championships in Charlottetown, PEI. Following the end of Friday's finals the Tritons sit comfortably in third place overall.

"We've had some exceptional swims tonight," said WTSC Head Coach Chris Stone.

Wolfville, NS - Eight swimmers with the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club will be traveling to Ottawa, Ontario to compete in the 2010 Speedo Eastern Canadian Swimming Championships.

Triton parents and swimmers who have not yet received their WTSC swim suits can pick them up from Coach Sheri in the main foyer of the Acadia Athletics Complex from 5:45pm onward on Tuesday, February 2 2010.

Due to the hazardous weather and road conditions, practice has been canceled for the afternoon of Friday, Jan 29 2010.

Morning practice for Senior will be on as usual on Saturday, Jan 30 2010.

Morning practice for the Junior & Black Training Squads will end at 8:30am so that the coaches can attend a provincial high performance camp in Halifax starting at 9:00am.

The Wolfville Tritons Swim Club is pleased to announce that they will be running their pre-competitive program again this winter. This program is an excellent introduction to competitive swimming, covering all four competitive strokes and other related skills.

Ottawa, ON - Swimming Canada announced today the names of the five recipients of the domestic coaching mentorship bursary for 2010; a new initiative that was introduced in November of 2009.

Among those named was Chris Stone, head coach of the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club & Acadia University Varsity Swimming.

All Triton swimmers and parents are asked to note that there will be a club time trial on Thursday, Jan 28 2010 from 4-6pm.

Swimmers from all groups are invited to attend the time trial. The Acadia Varsity & Greenwood Dolphins swim teams will also be racing with the Tritons that afternoon!
