Halifax, NS - The Wolfville Tritons Swim Club put on a great showing this past weekend at the 2012 Long Course East Coast Championships in Halifax, NS.

Due to an unexpected move up of the pool closure, there has been a change to practices for Friday, June 29 and Saturday June 30.

Friday, June 29th's practice is now 6:00-7:30am for all swimmers attending Canadian Age Group Championships, and 6:30-7:30am for all swimmers focusing on East Coast Championships.

Due to the upcoming shut-down of the Acadia Athletics Complex Pool, all Tritons attending Long Course East Coast Championships, Canadian Age Group Championships and Summer Nationals will have to train on an alternate training schedule.

We will be swimming out of the pool at 14 Wing Greenwood on the following dates and times:

East Coasts & National Level Swimmers

The Acadia University Axemen & Axewomen Swim Teams will be running a competitive skills swim camp June 23 & 24, 2012 at the Acadia Athletics Complex. Any swimmer who has graduated from Nova Tech is able to attend.

Several coaches from around Nova Scotia will be working with the swimmers on skills and areas such as:

Stroke Technique
Starts & Turns
Dryland Training & Skills
Flexibility

Hello Tritons Families,

Our end of year party is June 10th at New Minas Elementary from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

As every year, the event will be a pot luck, and is opened to siblings and friends to attend.

We would ask that the White, Blue and Black Squads bring a main course or a salad to share.

The Junior Squad please bring paper plates, cups and forks and drinks.

Due to WTSC hosting the 2012 Swim Nova Scotia Junior Provincials over the May 25-27 weekend, there will be NO PRACTICE for all Tritons training Squads on Friday, May 25, 2012.

Saturday morning practice for the Junior Training Squad will also be cancelled on Saturday, May 26, 2012.

The last day of swim practice for swimmers in the White & Blue Training Squads will be on Friday, June 1, 2012.

Swimmers in the Black Training Squad who have NOT qualified for the 2012 Long Course East Coast Championships will wrap up their season on Friday, June 8, 2012.

There will be no swimming for ALL training groups on Monday, May 21, 2012 due to the Victoria Day Holiday.

Halifax, NS - The Wolfville Tritons Swim Club's Rebecca MacPherson has been awarded the title of 2012 Swim Nova Scotia Female Swimmer of the Year.

The 16 year old swimmer from Canning will be recognized at the 2012 Ken Dunn Memorial Invitational on June 1st, 2012 and her name will be put forward for the RICOH Sport Awards with Sport Nova Scotia.

Hi Everyone!

It's almost Easter and we are hopping to do another Easter egg hunt this year on Wednesday, April 4th at 4:00pm.

If we could get people to bring wrapped chocolates and or Easter egg shells to put the candy in it would be a big help!

Wolfville, NS - Two swimmers from the Valley are headed off to Montreal, QC this weekend for the upcoming 2012 Canadian Olympic & Paralympic Swimming Trials.

All Tritons swimmers and families are asked to please note that there will be no swim practice for all training squads over the Easter Weekend, April 6-9, 2012.

Practices will resume for all training squads as scheduled on Tuesday, April 10, 2012.

Halifax,NS - Five swimmers from the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club have been named to the 2012 Atlantic Canadian All Star Swim Team.

Eveline Choquette, Adam Deutsch, Ben Henger, Rebecca MacPherson, and Kassandra Parsons were named to the 32 member team representing all 4 Atlantic Canadian provinces.

During the March Break, March 10-18, there will be no swim practice for all training squads of the Wolfville Tritons.

Practices will resume as scheduled on Monday, March 19, 2012.

Charlottetown, PEI - The Wolfville Tritons Swim Club put in a successful showing at the 2012 Short Course East Coast Championships in Charlottetown, PEI, finishing in 3rd place overall. 18 Tritons traveled to compete in the 4 day long meet March 1-4, 2012.

Gatineau, QC - The Wolfville Tritons Swim Club put in a strong showing at the 2012 Speedo Eastern Canadian Swimming Championships in Gatineau, QC over the past weekend.

Hayden Adams, Patrick Henger, Kristen MacPherson, Rebecca MacPherson, Eliza McGuire and Kassandra Parsons all traveled to compete in the meet over the February 16-19 weekend.

Wolfville, NS - Due to developing weather, the afternoon practice for the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club has been canceled for Friday, January 27, 2012 for all training squads.

Practices will resume as scheduled Saturday, January 28, 2012 for the Junior, Senior & High Performance squads, and on Monday, January 30, 2012 for all remaining training squads.

There will be a meeting open to the general membership of the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club on Tuesday, January 31 from 7-9pm in the Wolfville Room of the Acadia Athletics Complex.

Head Coach Chris Stone will be discussing a proposal to merge the Acadia Varsity & Wolfville Tritons swim programs into a more closely affiliated structure.

Wolfville, NS - Due to developing weather conditions, practice for Friday, January 20, 2012 has been canceled for all training groups of the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club.

Practices will resume as scheduled Saturday, Jan 21, 2012 for the Junior, Senior and High Performance groups, and Monday, Jan 23, 2012 for all other training groups.

The practice for the Black Training Squad will be cancelled on Friday, January 13, 2012 due to the Acadia Senior Meet starting at 5pm.

The White Training Squad will still swim at its usual time slot of 4:00-4:45pm.

Halifax, NS - Four swimmers with the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club have been named to the 2012 Nova Scotia All Star Team. The team of 35 swimmers was announced Friday, December 16 2011 in Halifax.

Representing the Tritons are Sam Adams and Mac Muirhead in the 11-12 year old boys category, and Kayla Boudreau and Carlena Eye in the 15-18 year old girls category.

With the Holiday Break almost here, there will be a break for all swimmers from Saturday, December 17, 2011 until Tuesday, Dec 27, 2011.

Beginning on Tuesday, December 27, swimmers in the Junior, Senior & High Performance squads will resume training on an altered schedule.

Wolfville, NS - The Wolfville Tritons Swim Club ended the 2011 calendar year with another successful showing at the 2011 Swim Nova Scotia Team Championships in Halifax over the December 9-11 weekend.

Wolfville, NS - Thirty swimmers from the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club are poised to race in the final swim meet of 2011 this weekend at the 2011 Swim Nova Scotia Team Championships.

According to Tritons head coach Chris Stone, the weekend should be a successful one for the valley's leading competitive swim program.

The Annual Wolfville Tritons Holiday Party will be held on Thursday, December 15 in the Wolfville Room of the Athletics Complex from 6-8pm. All swimmers, family & friends are invited to attend!

The event is a pot-luck style, so swimmers in each group are asked to bring the following:

WHITE TRAINING SQUAD - Drinks
BLUE TRAINING SQUAD - Drinks
BLACK TRAINING SQUAD - Desserts

The last day of swimming for all groups before the Holiday Break will be Friday, December 16, 2011.

Swimmers in the White, Blue & Black Training Squads will resume swimming on Monday, 9, 2011.

Swimmers in the Junior, Senior & High Performance Training Squads will be training during the break beginning on December 27, 2011. The schedule will be circulated shortly.

Due to the developing weather, there will be no practice for the Wolfville Tritons Swim Club for Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Practice will resume on Thursday, November 24, 2011 as scheduled.

Wolfville, NS - The Wolfville Tritons Swim Club traveled to Dartmouth, NS to compete over the Remembrance Day weekend, turning in some very successful results. In all, twenty-six swimmers from the club competed in the 3 day meet.

Tritons head coach Chris Stone was very impressed with the results.

Please note that there will be no swimming for all training groups on Friday, November 11, 2011 due to Remembrance Day.

Practices will resume as normal on Monday, November 14, 2011.

There will be no practice for ALL TRAINING GROUPS on Monday, October 10, 2011 due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Practices will resume as scheduled on Tuesday, October 11, 2011.

Swimmers in the Junior & Senior training squads will still have Saturday morning practice on Saturday, October 8, 2011.
