Swim-a-thon is officially over and we wanted to send out a thank you to everyone for helping to make it a success!
Many congratulations to the swimmers who worked so hard at fundraising and swam so hard at Wednesday's event.
Congratulations to the top overall fundraisers of the Swim-a-thon campaign: Hannah Williams, Olivia Williams and Kaisa Thorsen, as well as the five very close runners-up: Chantal Mason, Bo and Eliza Stokesbury-Price and Andrew and Jack Archibald.
As of the site closing last night at midnight, the total funds raised were: $6980.00. WOW!!
Thanks very much to all the parent volunteers who helped with the event and donated food on Wednesday. We really appreciate you coming out! We have a number of plates, bowls and containers that were left behind - if they are yours let us know and we'll arrange to get them back to you.
Finally, we'd like to acknowledge a number of local businesses that made generous donations of coupons and prizes over the last few months: Banks Bikes, Inquisitive Toy Company, Just Us Coffee and Paddy's Pub in Wolfville, Adventure Climbing Gym in Greenwich, The Swimwear Hut in New Minas, and Kelly's Kitchen Creations in Kingsport (the amazing cake!)...as well as some generous parents who donated prizes.
Thanks to all!
